School of Apparel Design & Development

The challenge of making something tangible and functional, coupled with the ability to be free to explore new ideas, is what draws me to apparel design. I love the process of how a garment starts with sketches and paper patterns that all lead to a fully realized vision. My final line, Hiraeth Affect, explores the themes of the familiar but foreign, something strong but falling apart. I wanted to create clothing that is comfortable and wearable, yet unexpected.
