Vicki Ostrom

AD&D Class of 1998

Senior Designer / San Mar Apparel

Have you ever wondered what happens to our grads after they leave the School of Apparel Design & Development?  Is there life after AD&D?  Join us as we track the career of one of our successful alumna, Vicki Ostrom, Senior Designer at San Mar Apparel.

After graduating with a BFA in Technical Theater and Costume Design from the University of Montana, Vicki attended the School of Apparel Design & Development at Seattle Central.  She has worked as a Designer in Seattle at Eddie Bauer and Tommy Bahama, in Dallas at JC Penney, and at several companies in New York.  Vicki returned to Seattle to work at San Mar in 2011 where she designs Men’s and Women’s Knits and Wovens for the Port Authority and Red House brands.  She is the Lead for Seasonal Trend and Color Direction, and an architect and producer of custom reports highlighting the nexus between societal movements and what we wear.  In addition to designing, Vicki is the content manager for San Mar’s online Style Network, a page and blog on the company’s website that unveils new apparel trends and discusses what’s hot (and what’s not) in the world of apparel.

In 2015, Vicki was chosen as one of The Hot 25 in Counselor Magazine’s list of the top movers and shakers in the industry. https://www.asicentral.com/magazines/counselor/Awards/content.aspx?id=1955&referral=LI
