School of Apparel Design & Development

Josie is a graphic artist-turned-apparel designer with particular interests in patternmaking, product development, and manufacturing. With a background in graphic design, she enjoys working with technical sketches, color, and prints, but her favorite part of designing apparel is the creative problem solving and iteration that goes into developing patterns and finding the best construction, material, and finishing solutions for a project.

Her final line, Long Fuse, is a collection of womens separates for Fall 2023. The goal was to use long visual lines and a variety of fabric textures to strike a balance between easy-wearing pieces and bolder statement pieces that could go from day to night and reflect an eclectic sense of style.
