After 30 years developing scientific software, Karl decided to retire early and pursue his desire to create apparel in leather and denim. After adding an AAS in Apparel Design and Development to his other degrees (BS Chemistry, BS Mathematics, PhD Chemistry), Karl was brought on to teach at Seattle Central, fulfilling another of his longtime desires. Karl now splits his time between teaching, patterning and constructing bespoke clothing, and creating wood furniture, as well as some motorcycle riding and tent camping.
